Description:
An Air Brake Quick Release Valve 08-03384-110 is a key component in a truck or trailer's air brake system that helps the brakes release faster by venting air pressure quickly from the brake chambers. Air Brake Quick Release Valve 110 PSI For Kenworth, Peterbilt, work condition, used take-off Kenworth T880 2024

Part Number
: 08-03384-110, 0803384110
Condition: Take Off
Manufacture/Brand: Paccar

Fits 08-03384-110 For Peterbilt/Kenworth Trucks

Purpose of using 08-03384-110:

Function Benefit
Rapid air exhaust Brakes release almost instantly instead of slowly
Shorter air travel distance Air is vented near the brake chamber, not all the way back through the control valve
Improved brake responsiveness Reduces “drag” or delayed release, especially in large or long vehicles
Better vehicle control Prevents pulling or uneven braking when different axles release at different speeds
Less brake wear Avoids partial engagement that causes heat and premature wear

Signs of a Bad Air Brake Quick Release Valve 08-03384-110:

1. Slow Brake Release

Brakes take too long to release after you let go of the pedal.
You may feel the vehicle dragging or resisting movement for a moment.
This is the most common symptom of a failing quick release valve.

2. Hissing Air Leaks

You hear a constant hissing sound from the valve area, even when the brakes are not applied.
This usually means there's an air leak in the valve or one of its seals.

3. Brake Drag or Overheating

Brakes stay partially applied, especially on the rear axle.
This can cause heat buildup, uneven brake wear, or reduced fuel efficiency.

4. Uneven Brake Release (Pulling)

The vehicle pulls to one side when brakes release unevenly.
Often happens if only one quick release valve is failing, affecting one side or axle more than the other.

5. Reduced Air Pressure Efficiency

You may notice longer refill times for the air tanks or lower system pressure.
A leaking or stuck valve can cause the system to lose pressure faster than normal.

6. Physical Damage or Corrosion

Visible cracks, rust, or loose fittings on the valve.
May be caused by road debris, age, or exposure to moisture/salt.
