Description:
A fuel shutoff valve 12V 3922752 is a critical component in diesel and gasoline engines that controls the flow of fuel to the engine. Its main job is to start or stop fuel delivery, ensuring the engine can safely run or be turned off.

Part Number: 3922752
Condition: New
Manufacture/Brand: Cummins

Fits 3922752 For Cummins engine systems ISL G CM2180, B6.7N CM2380 B150B, ISB6.7 G CM2180 B118, L9N CM2380 L124B, L9N CM2380 L130B, L9N CM2380 L142B

Purpose of using 3922752:

  • Stops Fuel Flow When Engine is Off

    • Prevents fuel from continuing to flow into the engine when it’s not running.

    • Stops potential flooding, fuel leaks, or unintended engine operation.

  • Enables Engine Start/Stop Control

    • Opens to allow fuel when the ignition is turned on.

    • Closes when the ignition is off or during emergency shutdown.

  • Safety Feature

    • In emergencies (like engine overheating or fire), it can stop fuel flow to prevent damage or hazards.

  • Supports Emissions & Engine Control

    • By precisely controlling fuel delivery, it helps maintain engine efficiency and can prevent excess smoke or unburned fuel from exiting the exhaust.

Signs of a Bad EGR Pressure Sensor 3922752:

1. Engine Won’t Start

If the valve fails in the closed position, fuel cannot reach the injectors.
Result: cranking engine with no start.

2. Engine Starts Then Dies

Valve may partially open or intermittently fail, causing fuel to cut off after starting.
Result: Engine starts briefly and stalls immediately.

3. Engine Stalling While Running

A valve that randomly closes or restricts fuel flow can cause unexpected engine stalling, especially under load.

4. Fuel Leaks

Cracks or worn seals can lead to visible fuel leakage near the valve.
This is both a safety hazard and a performance issue.

5. Check Engine Light / Fuel System Codes

Modern ECMs monitor fuel delivery.
Fault codes related to fuel system, like P0661, P0662, or fuel rail pressure issues, may indicate a faulty shutoff valve.

6. Hard Starting or Poor Performance

Valve may restrict fuel flow, causing:
Rough idle
Reduced power
Hesitation on acceleration
