Purpose of using 3013364C94 :

1. Removes Ultra-Fine Contaminants

Traditional oil filters catch particles down to about 10–20 microns.
A centrifuge removes particles as small as 1 micron or smaller (e.g., carbon soot, metal dust).
This matters because even microscopic contaminants cause engine wear over time.

2. Extends Engine Life

Clean oil reduces wear on:
Bearings
Pistons
Turbochargers
Valvetrain components
Less wear = longer engine life = fewer rebuilds.

3. Improves Oil Life

Oil stays cleaner, longer.
You may be able to extend oil change intervals (especially in fleets), saving on oil and labor costs.

4. Handles Soot Better in Diesel Engines

Diesel engines (especially EGR-equipped ones like Navistar MaxxForce) produce a lot of soot.
That soot contaminates the oil quickly.
The centrifuge is more effective than a paper filter at removing soot and sludge.

5. Prevents Sludge Build-up

By removing microscopic solids, the centrifuge slows down formation of sludge in:
Oil passages
Turbo feed lines
Hydraulic lifters

6. Reduces Maintenance Costs in Fleets

Less frequent engine overhauls
Fewer unscheduled repairs due to oil contamination
Better return on investment for long-haul trucks or heavy-duty equipment

Signs of a Bad Oil Filter Centrifuge 3013364C94

1. Low Oil Pressure

A clogged or malfunctioning centrifuge can restrict oil flow.
This triggers low oil pressure warnings or dashboard lights.
Can cause engine damage if ignored.

2. Dirty or Contaminated Oil

If the centrifuge is failing, it won’t remove soot, carbon, or fine metal particles.
You might notice:
Very dark or thick oil
Gritty feel when checking the dipstick
Increased oil sample contamination if testing

3. Oil Leaks Around the Centrifuge

Worn seals, gaskets, or housing cracks can cause external oil leaks.
Look for leaks near where the centrifuge mounts to the engine.

4. Unusual Engine Noises

Contaminated oil doesn’t lubricate well.
You might hear:
Tapping, ticking, or knocking
Noisy lifters or valve train

5. Poor Engine Performance or Increased Wear

Loss of oil cleanliness leads to:
Loss of compression
Smoking
Hard starts
Premature turbocharger or bearing wear

6. Excessive Soot or Sludge in the Engine

If the centrifuge fails, soot builds up inside:
Oil passages
Turbo oil feed lines
Crankcase and rocker arms
May also clog PCV systems or EGR valves over time.

7. Extended Oil Change Intervals No Longer Work

If you're on extended intervals (because of the centrifuge), and the oil degrades faster than usual — the centrifuge may be clogged or malfunctioning.
