Description:
An Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 1331008-001 is a part of vehicles that detects how far you press the gas pedal and sends that information electronically to the engine computer.

Part Number:
1331008-001, 1331008001
Condition: New
Manufacture/Brand: Autocar

Fits 1331008-001 For ACX Models

Purpose of using 1331008-001:

1. Control Engine Power

  • The sensor tells the Engine Control Module (ECM) how much the driver wants to accelerate.

  • The ECM then adjusts fuel and air to increase or decrease engine power.

2. Enable Electronic Throttle Control

  • In modern vehicles with Drive-by-Wire Throttle System, there is no mechanical cable.

  • The pedal sensor sends signals electronically to control the Electronic Throttle Body.

3. Improve Fuel Efficiency

  • The computer can precisely control how much fuel the engine uses, helping reduce fuel consumption.

4. Reduce Emissions

  • Accurate throttle control allows cleaner fuel combustion, lowering harmful exhaust gases.

5. Work With Safety Systems

  • The sensor allows systems like cruise control, traction control, and stability control to manage engine power automatically.

Signs of a Bad Accelerator Pedal 1331008-001:

1. Delayed Acceleration

  • When you press the gas pedal, the vehicle may hesitate or respond slowly.

2. Loss of Power

  • The engine may suddenly lose power while driving.

3. Inconsistent Acceleration

  • The vehicle may speed up or slow down unexpectedly, even if you keep the pedal steady.

4. Vehicle Goes Into Limp Mode

  • The car may limit speed and power to protect the engine.

5. Check Engine Light

  • The check engine light may turn on because the ECM detects incorrect signals.

6. Engine Won’t Rev Properly

  • Pressing the pedal might not increase engine RPM normally.

7. Difficulty Maintaining Speed

  • The car may struggle to keep a steady speed when driving.
