Description:
The EGR cooler coolant pipe 2048378 is a key component in the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system of a diesel engine. Its job is to carry coolant fluid to and from the EGR cooler. Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Cooler Coolant Pipe, work condition, used take-off Kenworth T880 2024

Part Number
: 2048378, 2048378PE

Purpose of using 2048378:

  • The EGR system recirculates a portion of the engine’s exhaust gases back into the intake air to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOₓ) emissions.

  • These exhaust gases are very hot, so before re-entering the engine, they pass through the EGR cooler, which cools them down.

  • The EGR cooler coolant pipe delivers engine coolant to the EGR cooler to absorb heat from the exhaust gases.

  • By cooling the gases, it helps reduce NOₓ formation and protects the engine components from excessive heat.

Signs of a Bad EGR Cooler Coolant Pipe 2048378:

Coolant leaks near the EGR cooler.
Engine overheating.
Increased exhaust smoke or emissions.
Warning lights related to emissions or engine temperature.
