Description:
A Control Knob Joystick Deluxe IPS 23066877 is the joystick controller used with Volvo Penta IPS (Inboard Performance System) boats. It is separate from the throttle handles and is designed primarily for low-speed maneuvering, especially when docking. Control Knob Joystick Deluxe IPS For EVC-controlled IPS propulsion systems, D11 and D13 marine engine installations using the Deluxe IPS joystick system.

Purpose of using 23066877:

  • Easy docking: Control the boat with one hand instead of separately operating the steering wheel and throttle levers.
  • Move in any direction: The joystick lets you move the boat:
    • Forward
    • Backward
    • Sideways (port or starboard)
    • Diagonally
    • Rotate in place (360° pivot)
  • Improve precision: The EVC system automatically adjusts engine speed, gear selection, and pod drive direction to match your joystick input, making movements smooth and accurate.
  • Increase safety and confidence: It helps the operator maneuver in tight marinas, slips, and crowded docks, especially in wind or current.
  • Reduce operator workload: Instead of coordinating two throttle levers and the steering wheel, you simply move or twist the joystick in the direction you want the boat to travel.
