Purpose of using 4324330530:

  • Remove moisture from compressed air
    • Prevents water from accumulating in air tanks.
    • Reduces corrosion inside valves, tanks, and air lines.
    • Helps prevent air lines and valves from freezing in cold weather.
  • Filter out oil and contaminants
    • The coalescing ("Coal") filter captures fine oil aerosols from the air compressor, as well as dirt and other particles.
    • This protects sensitive components such as brake valves, ABS modulators, and air suspension valves.
  • Automatically purge collected moisture
    • When the air compressor reaches the cut-out pressure, the air dryer purges the collected water and contaminants through its purge valve.
    • This keeps the drying media effective and prepares it for the next compression cycle.
  • Reduce compressor workload
    • The Turbo Cut-Off Valve (TCV) works with the compressor unloading process during the purge cycle, helping improve efficiency and reducing unnecessary compressor operation.
  • Protect the entire pneumatic system
    • Clean, dry air extends the service life of components such as:
      • Brake valves
      • ABS valves and modulators
      • Air suspension controls
      • Air-operated accessories
      • Seals and diaphragms

Signs of a Bad AD SysS Twin with TCV and Coal 4324330530:

1. Water in the air tanks

  • Excessive water drains from the air tanks.
  • Rust or sludge is found in the reservoirs.
  • This is one of the most common signs that the desiccant cartridges are saturated or the dryer is no longer removing moisture effectively.

2. Oil in the air system

  • Oily residue in air tanks or air lines.
  • Oil contaminates brake valves, suspension valves, or other pneumatic components.
  • This can indicate a failed coalescing filter or excessive oil carryover from the compressor.

3. Air leaks from the purge valve

  • A constant hissing sound from the bottom of the air dryer.
  • Air continues leaking after the purge cycle should have ended.
  • Possible causes include a worn purge valve, damaged seals, or internal valve problems.

4. Air compressor runs more than normal

  • Compressor cycles on and off frequently.
  • Longer time is needed to build air pressure.
  • Air pressure may struggle to reach the governor cut-out setting.

5. Poor air pressure build-up

  • Slow pressure rise after startup.
  • Low system pressure warnings.
  • Air-powered accessories may not function properly.

6. Frozen air lines in cold weather

  • Moisture bypasses the dryer and freezes in valves or air lines.
  • Brakes or suspension may operate sluggishly or not at all until the ice melts.

7. Purge valve doesn't operate correctly

  • No purge blast when the compressor reaches cut-out pressure.
  • Purge occurs continuously or at the wrong time.
  • A loud purge that never stops can indicate a valve failure.

8. Brake or suspension problems
Although the air dryer isn't the brake control itself, contaminated air can lead to:

  • Sticky brake valves
  • Slow brake release
  • Air suspension faults
  • Premature failure of ABS or relay valves
