  • Reduce the risk of engine problems caused by contaminated fuel.

Signs of a Bad Fuel/Water Separator Filter

  • Hard starting or taking longer than normal to start
  • Engine hesitation or poor acceleration
  • Loss of power, especially under load
  • Engine stalling or shutting off unexpectedly
  • Rough or uneven engine operation
  • Poor fuel economy
  • Difficulty reaching normal RPM
  • Fuel filter warning light or water-in-fuel warning, if equipped
  • Water or dirt visible in the separator bowl
  • Restricted fuel flow to the engine
