1. Prevent wheel lock-up

• During hard braking, wheels can stop rotating and skid.

• The hydraulic assembly modulates brake fluid pressure to prevent this.

• Result: safer braking and shorter stopping distance on slippery surfaces.

2. Maintain steering control

• If wheels lock, you lose the ability to steer.

• ABS hydraulic assembly adjusts pressure to keep wheels turning just enough for steering.

3. Support ABS and stability systems

• Works with the ABS control module to activate brakes individually.

• Enables Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and traction control in modern cars.

4. Balance braking pressure

1. ABS warning light stays on
